4.5 Design Challenge:
Mastery Journal
Video Journal
I chose FONT FAMILIES, EXPRESSIVE TYPOGRAPHY, and ART vs. DESIGN out of the list of 9 Course Concepts. I have never really given fonts and type a whole lot of thought, other than just being another tool. The insight from this course has been eye-opening.
This part I wrote at 2:00 AM when I finished this, 28 hours LATE. I know we are supposed to have some great insight or reflection here, and the biggest thing is I am disappointed in myself and I’m not proud of this video. There are several things that I did in this course that I loved, but this is not one of them. I got behind due to being pretty sick for the first two weeks of class, and it snowballed. This video paid the biggest price. That is not an excuse, just calling it like it is.
I guess my big thought to take away from this is how can I build the UNKNOWN into my schedule so this doesn’t happen again and again. At least not to this degree. That’s something that I have been thinking about extensively and will continue to do until I come up with something. For what it’s worth, here’s my video. It is missing a lot I think, but I ran the tank more than dry and was not going to make this any later than it already is.
